President

Criminal Lawyer for 22 years, since 2007 she has worked as a militant to combat torture and mass incarceration, I specialized in criminal practice, with an emphasis on the execution of sentences.


She is currently General Coordinator for Combating Torture and Serious Human Rights Violations at the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship.


She is the manager and co-founder – currently on leave – of Assessoria Popular Maria Felipa, she coordinated the Solta Elas project until February 2023, seeking the extrication of mothers and women, the project is financed by the UN Voluntary Fund to Prevent and Combat Torture.


In addition to having worked on projects aimed at protection and full justice for black and peripheral women. He was part of the board of directors of the National Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Torture (2022-2023) representing Assessoria Popular Maria Felipa. She was an articulator of the National Agenda and founder of the State Front in Minas Gerais for extrication.


He was president of the Community Council on Penal Execution of the District of Belo Horizonte, the body responsible for carrying out inspections in the city's prison units (2011 - 2014). She was also Co-founder of Coletivo Margarida Alves in 2011, awarded the National Human Rights Award from the National Human Rights Secretariat in 2015
