He has a degree from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), a Master's degree from Utrecht Universiteit in European and International Protection of Human Rights and a PhD from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, with a thesis on racial discrimination. She is part of the International Relations and Foreign Policy consultancy at Assessoria Popular Maria Felipa. .Works as a consultant for civil society organizations and victims of human rights violations and as an expert on issues relating to the international protection of fundamental rights, at international and European levels.

He was a lawyer at the Center for Justice and International Law; monitor for Brazil at Lawyers' Rights Watch Canada; advisor for human rights to the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN in Geneva and representative of the CELS/Conectas/Humanas coalition to the UN in Geneva.
